Developing an ink wash copy of a Matisse
Each of these paintings, one by Alice Neel and one by Henri Matisse, deals beautifully with one of my favorite issues: how the human body breaks up light and darkness. We will copy in pencil, but if you have charcoal and/or watercolor or inkwash, we can get into that as well.
